Education Background
Dr. Zhao Xinhua, received his Bachelor Degree (1990) from China Agricultural University, Beijing, obtained his Master degree in agricultural extension (2005) from China Agricultural University, Beijing, and gained his PhD. in crop cultivation and farming system (2010) from Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing.
Research Area
He is director of Zhengzhou research center in Institute of Cotton Research of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ICR, CAAS). He has been working and contributing on the stress physiology in cotton for a long time. His research areas are mainly stress-management decisions, such as the choices about planting and harvest date, cultivar selection for soil and field location, fertility, pest management, and cultivation.
He is leader of the innovative team of cotton physiology and ecology, which is composed 12 researchers specializing in the efficiently use mechanism of the light, temperature, water and fertilizer, and the development system of stress regulation in salinity and dry land; and high/stable yield cultivation technology.
