Education Background
Ma Yan, received her BSc degree in Agricultural Entomology from Department of Plant Protection, Nanjing Agriculture University in 1990.

Research Area
She is leader of pesticide application research Program in Institute of Cotton Research, CAAS, and the research backbone of Innovative Team of Cotton Pest Control. She is currently director of Henan Society of Plant Protection.
Her main research area has focused on occurrence and chemical control of cotton disease, insect, and weed screening and application of new pesticide, monitoring and mechanism of insect and weed resistance to pesticide, and strategy of environmental safety assessment for transgenic cotton.
